Jashan e Azadi is a special event in Pakistan which is celebrated with great charm and happiness. It is the independence day that is celebrated countrywide on 14th of August every year. People show love to their country by wearing the green clothes and put different badges having Pakistani flag symbols. Everybody shows its love in a different way; some put flags on their cars and vehicles. Some wave flags upon their houses, play different national songs and eat sweets. The celebrations of independence day is not less than Eid for Pakistanis. They buy new clothes, new shoes and decorate their houses with small flags called “Jandhian.” The media arrange special seminars, television dramas, serials, films and tv shows in which the importance of day and independence is shown.
