An Ode to Heritage was an inspiring collection created by the talented Amir Adnan. He tastefully highlighted the cultural overtones with the use of traditional embroideries in most elegant style. The collection as we all have witnessed is blend of classic silhouettes. It leads you to our traditional heritage and makes you travel through time.

Yasmin Zaman:

Yasmin Zaman’s blooming new bridal couture Jashan e Bahar was also there to spot the colours of ravishing spring. To celebrate the richness of life and its true spirit her collection personified beauty in a captivating eye way. Her collection consisted of apparels with draping dupattas in net and organza with traditional Ghaghara’s in Jamawar. These all finely embellished with the delicate work of Zari and Zardozi. The most prominent feature of the collection was the use of the full spectrum of colours including tangerine Orange, Leaf Green, pink and fuchsia. In a nutshell, the whole assemblage was mind blowing.

Up next is the Rizwan Ahmed absolute fabulous collection named Sonehri. The Sonehri was the blend of traditional designs and his signature style. As glamorous as it all looked Sonehri was a collection of an amazing colour palette. HE made use of soft pastel shades with gold which sparkled in net, silk and chiffon. Peplums emerging trend was also the part of his illustrious collection. The diversity of colours was embedded through the use of intricate embroideries.

Aisha Farid, a name which has marked the day with its enriching Mughal Mahal collection. The entire series of apparels were inspired by 17th-century Mughal architecture. The beauty of that time could be seen all in a row, and it was indeed startling. All the Divas donned in the signature label looking like Mughal Maharanis. Her choice for net, brocade, velvet, organza and tissue did add an imperial touch to the finest couture of the evening. Moreover, the work of Kundan Zari was highlighting the charms of the royal era.

Naushad Imdad:

Eminence III was the prequel of Naushad Imadad’s previous collection of eminence IV. To mention, it was showcased at the 13th edition of QHBCW. Though this year, the brand took a new turn by introducing its latest franchise in Pakistan “Holland and Sherry Savile Row, London”, and bringing the eminence III to the ramp was one of the endeavours inspired by the very same franchise. This series, in particular, is designed for the man of the modern age. Vibrant colours of embroidered sherwanis will catch you by the spell, as this series is completely deviate from the traditional and is perfect for your big day.

Arsalan Iqbal’s Zauq lit up the night in the second show of the day. Zauq was the combination of innovation with creativity. It covers all range of embroideries and fabrics like the raw silk and Merino wool. The menswear, in particular, consisted of sherwanis, dhotis waistcoats and Kurtas. The immense diversity of hues were there to praise starting from the ocean blue to the emerald greens, spicy red and maroon. Embellishments sparkled in gold and were all hand work.

Antique couldn’t be highlighted in a better way than as did by Hassan. It was a tribute to the cultural heritage of Pakistan and depicts Pakistan bride of the golden times. The series included classic Lehengas, Baggy Shalwars and GHararas.

The heartthrob of the Pakistani fashion industry, concluded the evening with his stunning series of mesmerising Bridal Couture. His collection was a title to be 1909. Vintage glam got back to the town with HSY’s latest collection. It was inspired by the time when HSY Mansion was built in Karachi.
